The compatibility of work and family is a concern for employees more than ever today. But to really experience it in everyday professional life, it takes more than just nice talk. It’s necessary for companies to truly commit to a family-conscious personnel policy. Germany’s Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) founded a company network, “Erfolgsfaktor Familie,” for just this very purpose. It is the central platform for companies in Germany that are interested and committed to family-conscious personnel policies. We at kreuzwerker are proud to have been invited to become part of this joint initiative between the BMFSFJ and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).

The BMFSFJ and DIHK launched the company network “Erfolgsfaktor Familie” in 2006. The network is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program “Compatibility of Family and Work.” Membership is free of charge, and signals a visible sign that companies are addressing the issue of combining work and family life. Membership is open to all companies and institutions that are committed to a family-conscious personnel policy and want to get involved.
