Atlassian has announced the complete discontinuation of its server product line effective February 2, 2024. This affects all server products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo). License sales will already be discontinued on February 2, 2021. Further changes will follow on February 2, 2022 (no more up and downgrades) and February 2, 2023 (discontinuation of Server Apps sales).
At the same time, prices for server and data center licenses will be adjusted as of February 2, 2021. Talk to us now and get advice on the upcoming changes.
Today, with almost 3 and a half years lead time, Atlassian has announced the end of availability of server licenses. In recent years, Atlassian invested heavily in its native cloud offers to make them available to a broad range of users in a stable and secure form. With the Cloud Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans, there are three different offers for Jira Software, Jira Servicedesk, Confluence and Bitbucket in the Atlassian cloud. Statuspage, Opsgenie and Trello complete the product portfolio.
As a long-standing Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner with a large number of small, medium and large customers in Europe, we are aware that not all customers use the Atlassian Cloud as a replacement for existing server installations - especially if a large number of add-ons have been used or extensive adjustments have been made.
However, we have carried out countless migrations over the years, and what we have learned is that migration is possible. The availability of the Jira and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistants, as well as the growing support by vendors, have led to a reduction of complexity and decrease in migration efforts.
But one thing is certain: the future for Atlassian is the native cloud offer. Atlassian has revamped the Cloud Roadmap and is using it to present the further development of cloud offers in an even more prominent and transparent manner.
